Dave Frank

Dave is passionate about empowering individuals through self-defense. He actively engages in teaching classes, developing training programs, and enhancing student experiences.

Dave Frank is the Owner and Instructor for RHINO Self-Defense CLE.  He retired with 43 1/2 years of experience in the Law Enforcement field with experience ranging from being a patrol officer to a police administrator. Dave has served as a trainer for the departments he has served and specializes in the areas of firearms, defensive driving, active shooter response training, 1st aid / CPR and Critical Injury First-aid. He is also on the teaching staff of six different police academies teaching part-time since 1992.

When Dave’s wife, Cindi, began selling Damsel in Defense personal protection products, he quickly realized there was a need for self-defense training that goes beyond stun guns and pepper spray. It was through conversations with his wife’s customers that his passion was ignited for teaching self-defense to “real” people in their “real” lives.

Since 2017, Dave has been teaching self-defense classes empowering children, teens and adults.  In addition to empowering families and individuals, one of his favorite ways to teach is to travel and train all throughout Ohio.  He offers corporate training, active shooter / intruder reaction training and real estate professionals training, which is certified with the State of Ohio and Michigan for agents to earn 3 CEU’s at the completion of training.
